Ghetto Child” is a skateboard wheel brand that was part of the Shorty’s skateboarding company’s mini lifestyle empire in the late 90s and early 00s. Shorty’s, which started as a bolt company, quickly became a trendsetter in the skateboarding world, selling a variety of products including Black Panther bearings, Doh Doh bushings, Dooks riser pads, Black Magic griptape, Shorty’s skateboards, and Ghetto Child wheels.
The brand was particularly popular during the hip-hop and baggy tech gear era, with skaters like Chad Muska, Peter Smolik, Tom Penny, Sean Sheffey, Brandon Turner, Danny Gonzalez, and Henry Sanchez endorsing the brand. However, the momentum faded in the mid-00s and the brand went out of style as quickly as it had come in.
